Classic Raclette

Easy 15 mins prep 25 mins cooking 4-6 servings

Traditional Alpine dish featuring melted Raclette cheese served with potatoes, pickles, and charcuterie. Perfect for cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 800g Raclette cheese, sliced
  • 1kg small potatoes
  • 200g cornichons (small pickles)
  • 200g pearl onions
  • Assorted charcuterie
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil potatoes until tender, about 20 minutes
  2. 2. Slice the Raclette cheese
  3. 3. Heat Raclette grill according to manufacturer's instructions
  4. 4. Melt cheese in individual raclette pans
  5. 5. Serve with potatoes, pickles, and charcuterie

Chef's Notes

  • Traditional Raclette cheese works best, but you can substitute with Gruyère
  • Keep potatoes warm while serving
  • Pair with a crisp white wine from Savoy or Switzerland
